The Crescent Players will present ”Run to the Capulets, Raise up the Montagues” at Southern Connecticut State University in association with New Haven Theater Company’s UBRSTAR.com. Performances will be Friday April 3 and Saturday April 4 at 8:00pm and 10:00pm, at SCSU’s Kendall Drama Lab located at 501 Crescent Street, New Haven, CT 06515. Tickets are $10 and $5 for Students. For both 10pm shows SCSU students get 2 for 1.

SCSU students, New Haven resident (and the rest of the world) are encouraged to visit the B R Star page to learn how to make a video, submit it and be part of the show. If your video is used, you get a free ticket to the show.

UBRSTAR.com is working with the students of Cheshire Academy. The students are creating the video and the show will be presented at Cheshire Academy on December 9th.

This is the first educational application of the UBRSTAR project. This project gives students and teachers a tool for a hands-on approach to investigating a classic play, as well as engaging the students in the creative process. It allows students to really own the project, and directly effect the creative scope of the show. Because of this, the Cheshire Academy produciton will be unique to any performances prior or to follow. We look forward to many more opportunities to working with the next generation of storytellers.
